The Southern University College of Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies will host its inaugural “Jazzin’ Arts on the Bluff” fundraising event on Saturday, March 29 on the lawn of William W Stewart Hall. Starting at 3:00 p.m., the event will feature an exceptional performance by the Southern University Jazz Ensemble and the Harry Anderson Band.
Proceeds from the event will support scholarships, study abroad programs, and financial hardship. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on various items at a silent auction.
Cynthia Bryant, dean of the College of Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies, emphasized the significance of this event for the college.
“It will be an opportunity for attendees to enjoy the vast amount of talent within the College, as well as within the greater Baton Rouge community,” Bryant said. “I’m extremely excited about Jazzin’ Arts on the Bluff. It promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.”
Tickets are $25 and include entry at 3 p.m.
