About the Camp
Join us for Roots and Rhythms Camp, a weeklong experience where students explore culture through dance, storytelling, and creative expression. Hosted by the Southern University Dance Minor Program, this camp is designed to help young people connect with their heritage and identity in a supportive and engaging environment.
Participants will take part in daily dance workshops and arts-based activities led by experienced instructors from the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.

Ages: 9–13
Location: Frank Hayden Hall – Dance Studio, Southern University
Cost: $150 per student
Enrollment Cap: 25 students
