To help enhance it’s services to the Southern University and Greater Baton Rouge communities, the SU System Foundation recently awarded an 1880 Society grant to the on-campus clinic.

Jag Talker – Robert Easly Jr.

The Southern University System Foundation Jag Talker program provides talented SU students with a nine-month internship. During the nine-month internship, Jag Talkers learn and practice the techniques of fundraising and donor recognition, while sharing the impact of giving with current and prospective donors.

Kenner, LA native Robert Easly Jr., a senior agricultural and animal science major has discovered the importance of giving, the value of networking, and the results of hard work while serving as a Jag Talker.

A Message from the SUSF President

My memory does not permit me to recall a more successful year in the life of our Foundation than 2014. Simply put, 2014 was a phenomenal year! The Foundation recorded $4.2 million dollars in cash fundraising revenue in 2014, versus $2.2 million dollars in recorded cash fundraising revenue in 2013, this represents a 100 percent increase in total fundraising revenue compared to the previous calendar year. We are indeed the beneficiaries of a dedicated staff and devoted volunteers who work tirelessly on behalf of our University.
