I am truly grateful to the many alumni, friends and organizations who donate to the Southern University System Foundation. Without their contributions, I would not have had the opportunity to pursue my education and graduate from this awesome school. Southern was a perfect fit for me. Academically, I was challenged and was fully engaged in my course of study. Socially, Southern provided an environment where I had fun and felt comfortable. I knew if I did my part in the classroom and achieved high academic benchmarks, I could count on the support of the foundation and its donors.

My career decision follows in the footsteps of my mother and grandmother, who both chose the nursing profession. My educational journey at Southern University has been challenging, while balancing dance and academics. I am grateful to be a student at a nationally recognized and distinguished nursing program, and I believe that I am walking in my purpose.
