IBM Impact Grants provide consulting expertise and software specifically designed to support educational and not-for-profit organizations in their efforts to serve our communities. The diversity of these grants allows IBM to deliver services and technology that meet the ever changing needs of the not-for-profit sector.

The Social Media Strategy and Planning grant is designed to help an educational or not-for-profit organization formulate and plan their social media strategy and has an estimated market value of $32,000. The focus areas of this grant include: building social media campaigns, creating strong identity and engagement, connecting to your impacted audiences, and understanding best practices with social platforms.

With technology at the forefront, the University must secure and harness the potential of the social media market to increase the capacity to reach a wider and more diverse audience. “With IBM’s commitment to improving communities worldwide, we seized this opportunity to partner with the SU System Foundation to help accomplish its mission and ongoing growth. IBM’s growing service centers in Baton Rouge and Monroe provide Southern graduates the opportunity to acquire stimulating and productive jobs close to home,” said Dexter Henderson, vice president of Power Systems, IBM Austin.
