The Beta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated was founded on December 11, 1936 on the campus of Southern University and A&M College. This chapter was chartered by ten young distinguished gentlemen who laid the foundation for its enduring legacy.
Description of Endowment:
The Beta Sigma Alumni Alphas Endowment exists to provide permanent, sustainable financial support that strengthens the undergraduate chapter, empowers Southern University students, and contributes to the long‑term financial health and advancement of the Southern University System.
It ensures that future generations of Beta Sigma brothers and SU students have access to the resources, opportunities, and institutional support needed to excel academically, lead with integrity, and uphold the fraternity’s highest ideals.
