Alumni Center

About the Center

The Southern University Alumni Federation’s vision for the Alumni Center is to provide space for alumni operations. The Center is to be built on a five-acre parcel of land located on Scott’s Bluff  directly south of Harding Boulevard near the bend at Netterville Drive, and near the historical “Red Stick” sculpture. It is estimated that the facility will be a 28,000-square-foot complex. The Southern University Alumni Federation will develop, own, and operate the Alumni Center.

The new Alumni Center will have a transformative impact by strengthening connections between alumni, students, and the community.  It will foster philanthropy, promote lifelong learning, and enrich the cultural and social life of our institution. Further, the complex will be a resource in the community of Scotlandville that lacks viable options for gatherings and events. The Alumni Center will provide:

The new Southern University Alumni Federation Alumni Center is to be built on a scenic but undeveloped plot of land along the Bluff.  It will feature a large event space overlooking the  Mississippi River as well as hosting the Office of Alumni Affairs. The project will include:
