The scholarship benefits students from West Feliciana and adjoining parishes, with highest preference given to students from St. Francisville, Louisiana. Recipients must be enrolled in Southern University and A&M College’s College of Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies, maintain a 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate a commitment to civic involvement and community outreach—qualities that reflect the values of General Smith.
