Meet Our Director & Chief Curator
Erika N. Witt, M.A. is a Museologist and Egyptologist serving as the Director and Chief Curator of SUNOMA. As SUNOMA’s founding curator and a team of one, she leads the museum’s exhibitions, collections, and public programs while teaching in SUNO’s Master of Arts in Museum Studies program.
Specializing in traditional African art and Egyptology, Witt’s work centers on:
- Accessibility and representation
- Cultural continuity
- Promoting positive cross-cultural dialogue
She is committed to fostering global understanding in museums and ensuring that African and Diasporic heritage is preserved and made meaningful for the communities SUNOMA serves.
