Support the Department of Criminal Justice

The Department of Criminal Justice (CJ), located in the Nelson Mandela College of Government and Social Sciences, prepares students for careers in the sub-agencies of the criminal justice system and continued education in professional and graduate schools. National and international themes related to contemporary challenges to the police courts and corrections are among those studied and explored in theory and practice through a diverse curriculum. The Department is comprised of four programs, which include both traditional and online undergraduate programs, as well as a traditional master’s and Executive (Online) master’s program. The Criminal Justice Department is estimated among the top 5 largest departments on the SUBR campus. The department bodes proudly graduates in major areas of the Criminal Justice System across the country, including Regional Director of Juvenile Services, Chiefs of Police, director of Homeland Security in Louisiana, former Chief of State Police, FBI, and U.S. State Department of Diplomatic Security, U.S. Navy Commander, to name a few.

To ensure necessary resources are provided for the support of our students and Department in the form of scholarships, research, academic and professional development, community outreach, etc., the SU System provides an avenue for receiving recurring donations for these purposes as follows:
