The Department of Mass Communication at Southern University and A&M College has a proud tradition of preparing students to excel in print journalism, public relations, and broadcasting. One of only four accredited Louisiana universities by the largest accrediting body in the nation on collegiate journalism and mass communication programs–The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC), the department equips students with the knowledge, practical experience, and professional connections needed to become impactful communicators in an ever-changing world.
