Introduction to the College

The College of Sciences and Engineering provides comprehensive programming in civil, environmental, mechanical, and electrical engineering, computer sciences, physics, biology, chemistry, and mathematics. The College of Sciences and Engineering provides a tremendous pipeline of talented scientists and engineers ready to lead industry in the 21st century.

Degree Programs

Outcomes

The continued training and education of Black students in science and engineering and their matriculation into careers is an essential component of the national economy. Improvements to the College of Engineering and Science will provide better opportunities for STEM students to prepare for careers. In addition to allowing for expansion of the student population in the sciences, the project will allow for additional programs like chemical engineering, which is so vital for the Louisiana economy. The project will also increase faculty and student research activities, industry partnerships, and provide new resources for scholarships.

LEALON MARTIN

Dean, College of Sciences and Engineering, Southern University and A&M College

My years of study would not have been possible without the generosity of the donors who give to the University. I will graduate with the education and skills that are required to be a successful engineer, and I plan to give back to my University in order to help students like me.
