New Cafeteria
About the Project
The proposed new cafeteria facility will be located on the Lake Ponchartrain (northern) side of the SUNO campus on a vacant lot adjacent to student housing and the FBI Building. Students at the Southern University at New Orleans campus will soon have a modern, new dining option. The new building will be a contemporary one-story facility with seating for more than 150 and private dining seating for 60.

The new cafeteria will significantly enhance the student experience at SUNO, offering a welcoming space for meals, socializing, and study breaks. The facility is designed to accommodate a large number of students comfortably. The new cafeteria is a significant step forward in improving campus amenities, enhancing student satisfaction, and fostering a vibrant campus community at SUNO.
This contemporary building will be a vibrant hub for student life at SUNO. In addition to the main dining area, the cafeteria will feature:

- A salad bar with fresh, healthy choices
- Convenient location
- A modern design with ample seating and a comfortable atmosphere for students to dine, study, and socialize
